Will Arnett to produce animated comedy Temporary Humans for FOX

Word has come down the wire that Will Arnett will be stepping out of voice-recording booths to help executive produce a new animated comedy series for Fox titled TEMPORARY HUMANS.

The series comes from the writing and executive producing team of Marc Sloboda, Evan Hill, and Nick Bailey. According to Variety, who exclusively broke the news about TEMPORARY HUMANS on Monday, the show will follow Jake, a hapless twenty something who rescues a naked amnesiac, Sammy, from an explosion in a lake and makes him his roommate.

Arnett will executive produce alongside Marc Forman courtesy of Electric Avenue, as part of a first-look deal at Sony Pictures Television. Also joining Arnett and Forman as executive producers are Peter Principato and Charlie Sanders.

In addition to hosting animated shows the likes of THE SIMPSONS, FAMILY GUY, and BOB'S BURGERS, Fox recently launched BLESS THE HARTS, an animated comedy series from creator Emily Spivey that centers around a group of Southerners strive to live the American dream. Starring as the voice talent behind Harts are comedic actors Kristen Wiig as Jenny Hart; Maya Rudolph as Betty Hart; Jillian Bell as Violet Hart; Ike Barinholtz as Wayne Edwards; Fortune Feimster as Brenda; and Kumail Nanjiani as Jesus.

Fox recently announced a Spring debut for two of the network's upcoming animated offerings: DUNCANVILLE and THE GREAT NORTH. For DUNCANVILLE, Ty Burrell, Rashida Jones, Wiz Khalifa, Yassir Lester, Riki Lindhome, Joy Osmanski, Besty Sodaro, and Amy Poehler star for a show that follows an average kid named Duncan, who dreams of making it big without having to wear a suit and tie to do so. As for THE GREAT NORTH, Will Forte, Megan Mullaly, and Aparna Nancherla lend their voices for the animated series which tells of the adventures of a single dad and his weird Alaskan family.
