Well guys, get your hankies ready. Up top we have a very sweet, endearing featurette that was just released in conjunction with the release of STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER. Titled "Friendship", the video showcases the strong bonds that were made among the all-encompassing cast of all the STAR WARS films beginning with A NEW HOPE. There are interviews with the cast of RISE expanding further on the camaraderie which, I feel, really translates nicely to the screen.
We don't even have a true plot summary beyond what we can all surmise from the trailers and I am definitely cool with that! The less I know about what happens, the better. This is a huge bookend to a trilogy that needs to go out with a bang and I want to experience it without an ounce of spoilers!
Director J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong'o, Kelly Marie Tran, Naomi Ackie, Keri Russell, Billie Lourd, Richard E. Grant, and Joonas Suotamo, in addition to franchise veterans Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, and Ian McDiarmid.
The release date will be this December 20, 2019. That's less than two weeks away!
