New poster for It: Chapter Two floats online, full trailer tomorrow

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Ahead of tonight's ScareDiego event at San Diego Comic-Con, New Line Cinema has unleashed a new poster for Andy Muschietti’s IT: CHAPTER TWO. The frightfully gorgeous print boasts a minimalist design, with little else than Pennywise's glowing yellow eyes as its centerpiece. While some fans might have hoped for a more elaborate print, I think the image is chilling AF, and serves as a fine tease for what's to come.

In addition to the new poster drop, it's also been announced that a new and full trailer for IT: CHAPTER TWO will float onto the internet tomorrow at 9am PST, July 18th! That being the case, you can bet all the red balloons ever blown at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus that we'll be posting the trailer as soon as it's ready to make you glad that you wore your brown pants.

Here's the official synopsis for IT: CHAPTER TWO:

Twenty-seven years after the horrific events of the summer of 1989, It (Bill Skarsgård) returns. The Losers' Club fulfills their promises and returns to Derry to put an end to the shape-shifting beast once and for all.

The sequel and final chapter of Muschietti’s Stephen King adaptation stars Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise the Dancing Clown as well as the adult Losers Club cast, of which includes James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, and Andy Bean. Reprising their roles as the Losers Club kids are Jaeden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, and Jack Dylan Grazer.

Muschietti will of course direct from a script penned by Gary Dauberman based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King. Barbara Muschietti, Dan Lin, and Roy Lee will produce while Marty Ewing, Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg arrive as executive producers.

You can view the new poster in all its glory below, and be sure to check back tomorrow when the full trailer for IT: CHAPTER TWO goes live at 9am PST.

Meanwhile, IT: CHAPTER TWO will float into theaters on September 6.
