Exclusive: We talk to Booksmart stars Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Last month at CinemaCon, I had the opportunity to sit down with Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein, the stars of Olivia Wilde's new comedy BOOKSMART, which opens this week. In this unconventional comedy, both Dever and Feldstein play best friends who determine they've spent far too much time trying to succeed academically and not enough time in succeeding at having any fun. They decide to make up for four years worth of fun in one night, which brings about all manner of shenanigans. Dever and Feldstein talk about their respective roles, their on-set bonding, what it's like working with Olivia Wilde as a director, their favorite comedies and share what high school was like for them personally. It was a really fun chat with two very talented ladies who are certainly giving the comedy genre a run for its money this summer.

BOOKSMART opens nationwide this week on May 24th.
