It's been more than three years since comedians Nick Frost and Simon Pegg collaborated on a TV or film project together, but we're now getting word from the Dynamic Duo themselves that plans for a new project are underway!

In an interview with Inverse Entertainment, Nick Frost told the outlet, "Simon and I are working on something. We’re trying to do something a bit special at the moment. It’s a work in progress, and we may have some more information on it later in the year." Welp, that's not a whole lot to go on, but something from these two is better than nothing, right? Pegg and Frost first got together when Pegg and Jessica Hynes created a role for Nick when scripting the BBC Channel 4 sitcom SPACED, directed by none other than Edgar Wright. The trio of Wright, Pegg and Frost then produced the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy of films SHAUN OF THE DEAD, HOT FUZZ and THE WORLD'S END.

Oh snap! It looks as if Frost offered a few more comments about what we can expect when he and Pegg get down to business. Check it out! "I think I’d [want] to do something in the sci-fi world. Something a bit ghost hunter-y, or a bit Monster of the Week in a comedy. With two guys and a girl, it’s like the X-Files, but they’re not affiliated with any government agency," said Frost.

He then went on to say, "We’re not Judd Apatow, we’re not J.J. Abrams, so there are still people who say, ‘I’d like to see this.’ You’re still made to jump through hoops. Everyone has a job to do and everyone has an opinion on everything. Writing Paul, Simon and I would always have a knee-jerk reaction to someone giving a note about something and think, “What do you fucking know?” I think as you get older and you mature more, you realize, you know what? Listen to that note. It could be fucking great, it could be worthwhile."

Alright, so we don't know whether this project will be made for television of the big screen, but does that really matter? While I must admit that Frost and Pegg's alien comedy PAUL didn't exactly set the world on fire, I'd wager that they've got more than enough bullets in their collective gun to fire off another smash hit once the creative juices start flowing. We'll be sure to keep an eye out for any updates regarding the comedic pair's reunion, and drop the news on over to you when it hits.

In the meantime, you might as well prepare yourself for when Edgar Wright's latest film, BABY DRIVER, swerves into theaters on August 11, 2017.
