Richard Armitage joins Ocean’s Eight, as do Kim Kardashian & Kendall Jenner

JoBloJoBlo

Under the direction of Gary Ross (THE HUNGER GAMES), the upcoming OCEAN'S EIGHT stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Rihanna, Awkwafina and Sarah Paulson as a whole new team pulling off a brand-new heist. Production kicked off back in October, but the trickle of casting announcements have continued over the past several months.

Deadline reports that Richard Armitage (THE HOBBIT) is the latest actor to join the cast of OCEAN'S EIGHT, but unfortunately, details about his character are being kept under wraps at this time. I've enjoyed Armitage in most of what I've seen, particularly his wonderful work on Hannibal's final season as Francis Dolarhyde a.k.a. The Tooth Fairy. A sequence of OCEAN'S EIGHT will reportedly take place at the Met Gala, which is typically full of all kinds of celebrities, so naturally, we can expect several of those celebrities to make cameos. People reports that Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner have recently filmed cameos for the OCEAN'S ELEVEN spin-off, as well as Adriana Lima, Anna Wintour and Katie Holmes.

OCEAN'S EIGHT is set to hit theaters on June 8, 2018.
