Sandra Bullock & Cate Blanchett look shady as Ocean’s Eight begins filming

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

I know the OCEAN'S gang consisting of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Elliot Gould and more is close to your heart, but we're in a new age, and it’s time for a new team of thieves to rob casinos and museums. We will be getting that new team in OCEAN’S EIGHT, which replaces the boy's club with a group of talented actresses including Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Rihanna and Awkwafina. Oh, you can bet your ass it’s coming, and to remind you here are the first set photos from the movie featuring Bullock and Blanchett looking quite fancy, courtesy of Coming Soon.

Enjoy!

The movie has just started filming in New York, but won’t be released until June 8, 2018. The story revolves around Danny Ocean’s (Clooney) ex-con sister as she rounds up a team of misfits with her partner (Blanchett) as they plan to frame a gallery owner by robbing the Met Ball of a particularly valuable necklace, which I can imagine will seem impossible to rob at first, but then all of a sudden becomes very un-impossible indeed. For those who aren’t sold on the idea of this new flick I say have hope, as there have been rumors of a Clooney cameo, seeing as this new movie is a continuation of the series rather than a completely new one that ignores the previous films. What would be better, though, is if Clooney’s team robs Bullock’s team, but really Bullock’s team had been robbing Clooney’s team the whole time. Boom.

Catch OCEAN’S EIGHT with a new team on June 8, 2018 directed by Gary Ross.
