It's hard to believe that it's been 12 years since we've last seen Blade on the big screen, but there ya have it. There's been plenty of talk about Wesley Snipes returning to the role over the years, but now that the character is back in the hands of Marvel proper, I don't see that happening anytime soon. In speaking with The Playlist, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige makes mention of the UNDERWORLD/BLADE crossover that never was, as well as their current plans with the character.

Kevin Feige on being asked about an UNDERWORLD crossover and reintroducing Blade:

They did ask a long time ago and I think our answer was, ‘No, we’ll do something with ‘Blade’ at some point.’ That’s still the answer. We still think he’s a great character. He’s a really fun character. We think this movie going into a different side of the universe would have the potential to have him pop up, but between the movies, the Netflix shows, the ABC shows there are so many opportunities for the character to pop up as you’re now seeing with Ghost Rider on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that rather than team up with another studio on that character let’s do something on our own. What that is? Where that will be? We’ll see. There is nothing imminent to my knowledge.

So it looks like the news with Blade is that there is no news, at least for now. Marvel Studios isn't hip to the R-rated game just yet outside of Netflix, so if anything, I'd say his best chance for success is on the popular streaming service. Any time past 2020 looks to be our best window for a reintroduction. With that said, I really do hope he gets the resurgence he deserves. Blade has delivered two really solid movies into the comic book genre and it'd be fascinating to see the man interact with other players in the Marvel universe.
