The idea behind cosplay, at its core, is to become the hero (or villain, no judgement) you always dreamed of being when you were a kid, even if it’s just for a few glorious days on the floor of a convention center. However, there are some people who take it wayyyyy more seriously than others. Take die-hard Batman fan Julian Checkley, whose passion for the Caped Crusader and costume making led him to create a custom batsuit with a record-breaking 23 working accessories. Checkley based his suit on the costume from the ARKHAM ORIGINS game, and features a grappling hook, bat-tracker, foldable batarangs, gas dispenser and more. Checkley and his costume will be featured in the Guinness World Records 2017 Gamer's Edition, which is out September 8. But why wait till then? Behold the badassery below!
