New character posters introduce the cast of Ben-Hur

It's going to be a little hard to top Charlton Heston's BEN-HUR, but Timur Bekmambetov seems game to give it a try. The upcoming epic from Paramount/MGM tells the story of Judah Ben-Hur (Jack Huston), a prince falsely accused of treason by his adopted brother Messala (Toby Kebbell), an officer in the Roman army. Stripped of his title, separated from his family and the woman he loves (Nazanin Boniadi), Judah is forced into slavery. After years at sea, Judah returns to his homeland to seek revenge, but finds redemption. After enjoying Huston's work so much on HBO's Boardwalk Empire, I've got to admit that it's still a little weird to see both sides of his face.

A handful of new BEN-HUR character posters have been released featuring the main cast plus Jesus Christ (Rodrigo Santoro) himself, check 'em out!

BEN-HUR hits theaters on August 17, 2016.
