We've already heard from David Ayer a few times now about Jared Leto's performance in SUICIDE SQUAD, and the director again praised his turn as The Joker during a recent interview with Total Film Magazine.

What Jared has done is absolutely incredible. When he steps onto the set the world stops. Everything stops. What he’s done is so powerful, so menacing, so palpable, you can feel him. The crew stops working and just watches him. I have to get everybody going again because he’s so fascinating.

Ayer also went on to say that he has plenty of surprises in store for us with SUICIDE SQUAD.

What’s interesting to me is how there’s been a lot to perception of what this film is because we have been exposed more than other movies. What people think this movie is is not what it is. There’s much more to come.

Like most of you, I'm extremely excited to see what Leto has done with The Joker, however he's not the only reason why I'm pumped for SUICIDE SQUAD. It just feels like the film is going to be a different beast compared to other comic book movies, and I can't wait to check out DC's own "bunch of a-holes" on the big screen.

SUICIDE SQUAD will hit theaters on August 5, 2016.
