Cool Videos: This fake trailer imagines Pixar’s take on a Star Wars movie

With Disney capitalizing on every aspect of their purchase of Lucasfilm, it is only a matter of time before we see an animated film set in the STAR WARS universe. While the feature films, specifically STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, are the priority for the studio right now, I would not be surprised if they expand out further once the movie is a box office hit. The only question is whether it will be Disney proper or Pixar who will make the feature length cartoon.

This fan made trailer imagines what a Pixar take on STAR WARS could be like. More specifically, this imagines the same minds that brought us the CARS and PLANES franchises and how they would make an anthropomorphic movie about the ships in a galaxy far, far away. As much as this trailer made me roll my eyes, it was also quite disturving how realistic this could be. Here’s hoping some Disney suits don’t get their hands on this trailer.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS opens December 18, 2015.
