It's been almost a year since details from Quentin Taratino's THE HATEFUL EIGHT script leaked, soon after which he claimed that he was going to drop the project completely. Fast-forward to today and filming has begun! With a killer ensemble featuring the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, and Channing Tatum, the story will focus on a group of bounty hunters who seek shelter during a blizzard but get involved in a plot of betrayal and deception. Sam Jackson has been the one to have released some seriously intimidating selfies of the rehearsal process, and now he's grabbed a shot of the on-location set in Colorado.

Starting with INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, Tarantino has taken a liking to period films, and as far as I'm concerned, BASTERDS and DJANGO UNCHAINED rank with some of his best work. Tarantino's mentioned that he may drop out of film-making after his 10th venture (as to avoid a decrease in quality), but if his recent output is any indication, Tarantino has a long future ahead of him making quality films. As always, I'm eagerly anticipating the release of his latest!

THE HATEFUL EIGHT will be released sometime in 2015.
