Zack Snyder has not filmed any Wonder Woman scenes yet for Batman v Superman

If you were expecting to get a look at Gal Gadot in her Wonder Woman gear at this month’s San Diego Comic Con, you are going to be disappointed. While we have seen looks at Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in costume for BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, director Zack Snyder has yet to film any scenes with Gadot in her character’s trademark armor.

In the same article from USA Today that revealed the first look at the newly enhanced Superman costume, Snyder revealed the reason why Gal Gadot hasn’t filmed any scenes yet.

“She’s working out and getting buffed and ripped.”

Naysayers have disliked Gadot as Wonder Woman since the announcement was made. But, no matter how ripped the actress gets, there are bound to be detractors. With two years between now and the scheduled release date for BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, there is plenty of time to make sure everything is just right with the DC team-up movie. I will stick by the theory that this movie and JUSTICE LEAGUE are being filmed simultaneously which would also explain why all of the other characters rumored to be in the film haven’t shot any scenes yet and why more and more new cast members are being announced every week.

While there will surely be something for the fans at SDCC in a few weeks, I wouldn’t hold my breath to see anything with Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, or any other character until 2015. Okay, maybe we will get an official look at Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE will hit theaters May 6, 2016.
