Emile Hirsch and Holliday Grainger go on a heist in the trailer for Bonnie & Clyde

Awhile ago we heard that a BONNIE & CLYDE film was making its way to back to cinemas. What was the result? A television movie to broadcast on A&E, Lifetime, and The History Channel starring Emile Hirsch and Holliday Grainger.

While the whole Lifetime thing might throw you off, this still looks like it might be worth checking out. You have Hirsch, William Hurt, and Holly Hunter, who in my opinion would have made a great Bonnie when she was younger. Most of us are familiar with Arthur Penn’s 1967 version with Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty, a version that has yet to receive any real competition.

I will warn you that if you don’t know anything about BONNIE & CLYDE that this trailer gives away everything. So know your history folks.

Synopsis: Bonnie & Clyde is a star-studded miniseries for HISTORY, LIFETIME and A&E networks. The four-hour, two-night event miniseries stars Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild) and Holliday Grainger (The Borgias) in the title roles of Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker, the Depression-era outlaw couple whose criminal exploits have assured them lasting fame for eight decades.

BONNIE & CLYDE can be seen on the small screen December 8, 2013.
