Director James Wan, hot off the success of his recent horror hit THE CONJURING, isn't letting you catch your breath for very long, as he readies INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2, the sequel to the 2011 breakout hit that scared up the thrills and stole sleep from folks everywhere. The sequel follows the exploits of the Lambert family, portrayed by returning castmembers Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Barbara Hershey, and Ty Simkins, who find that the hauntings run much deeper than they could have imagined. Today, we have an exclusive clip from the film, which is a beautiful tease of the creepy scares that are likely to populate this horror-filled sequel.

Pretty sweet, right? Man, it doesn't take much to give me the chills, so I'm kind of an easy target for horror flicks like this. Wan seems to have become a purveyor of refined horror and this looks to be every bit as frightening as his previous entries in the genre. As he moves on to the action genre with the next installment of THE FAST AND FURIOUS franchise, one can only imagine how he'll craft it to his style, which makes it an even more exciting prospect. Regardless of genre, Wan is definitely a guy on the rise and thankfully so.
INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 starts haunting theaters on September 13, 2013.
