If this new trailer from WonderCon for PACIFIC RIM is meant to blow your f*cking pants off then it does its job.

For those of you who were not impressed by the previous trailers, I have no idea how you will be able to deny the power and awesomeness of this one. Also as someone point out in the strikebacks in a previous article, this is a movie about monsters versus robots…what the hell else are you expecting? I truly love you all, but this is going to be tons of fun and will probably feature several kick ass scenes.

This trailer also shows Charlie Day (FINALLY) and Ron Perlman. I'm going to be honest here. It's going to be hard to watch Day and not think that Charlie from IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY is pretending to be a scientist. The last seconds of this made me wish I could watch the movie right now.

Del Toro had this to say along with the release of the trailer:

"This was originally intended for only WonderCon, but after listening to so many of you asking for more of the movie online, I think it's time for me to show you more footage. Enjoy, my friends!"

Check it out below.

Synopsis: When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes – a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)-who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Guillermo Del Toro's PACIFIC RIM, starring Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Day, Rinko Kikuchi, and, Clifton Collins, Jr., unleashes its robotic fury on July 12, 2013.
