Spoiler City: What does this Iron Man 3 figure say about the films ending?

JoBloJoBlo

HELLO EVERYONE. THERE ARE MAJOR SPOILERS HERE. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE MAJOR SPOILERS, PLEASE CHECK OUT ONE OF OUR OTHER DELIGHTFUL ARTICLES OR SOMETHING SOMETHING BOOBS ON MOVIEHOTTIES. THAT IS ALL.

This is such a big spoiler. Why are you still here if you do not care for such things?

Turn away now.

Last chance…

3…2…1….GO!

Okay, sorry about that. This is kind of a big deal if you haven’t already noticed so I had to make sure I didn’t make it very clear that there were spoilers here. So on we go to the news.

It’s seems that a new Iron Man toy from Pop! Marvel is giving away a cameo from Mr. Stark in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. Below you will see that the vinyl figure is wearing the “Deep Space Suit”. So what does that have to do with GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY?

Well, Latino Review says that according to their sources (remember take all this with a grain of salt even if it looks legit):

“At the end of Iron Man 3, Tony actually does go up into space to hook up with the Guardians of The Galaxy where I also hear he appears at the end of that movie as well.”

This is accompanied by Robert Downey Jr. eluding to the whole thing in a blurb from EW:

“But we can’t help it — everywhere you look now in every Marvel movie there are opportunities where certain new pals of his could be useful. So they’re in the atmosphere, so to speak, but I wouldn’t expect to see them on the ground in this one.”

THE MAJOR TAKEAWAY HERE: “…but I wouldn’t expect to see them ON THE GROUND in this one.” BAM!

Also, let’s throw Tony Stark on the cover of Marvel NOW! Guardians of the Galaxy comic book to the pile of hints. Bonus: black and white drawing of Steve McNiven’s design for Iron Man in the Guardians of the Galaxy comic, courtesy of my friend and fellow editor, Paul Shirey:
