Every mom can be embarrassing to some extent, especially if you are the only child. Getting out of the car for your first day of high school, mom notices something on your face, and licks her finger to clear the smudge in front of your new classmates. Mom says something about your awkward stage out loud. Mom tells you that it’s okay to talk about our bodies in the middle of a grocery store. There are a million different scenarios that any child can relate to. So why not make a whole movie about these moments with Seth Rogen and Barbara Streisand? Okay.

These two new clips from THE GUILT TRIP aren’t gut busting funny, but as I stated above, they are easy to relate to. Streisand used to kind of irritate me, but I quickly got over that when I saw MEET THE FOCKERS. She is all too good at being the embarrassing mom. The film focuses on, “an inventor and his mom hit the road together so he can sell his latest invention.”

THE GUILT TRIP releases in theaters on December 19, 2012.
