For those waiting for the next thing from Brad Bird, you may want to listen up.
Bird is helming a mysterious sci-fi project titled, 1952 with a script from Damon Lindelof and Jeff Jensen. There’s no details on the plot since the film is being kept under tight wraps. Disney does have this rather high on their priority list. The project isn’t greenlit yet, but I’m sure it’s just around the corner especially with the names involved. So I’m not too worried about the development.
The film is drawing comparisons to CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND, and will follow a man who makes contacts with aliens here on Earth.
Who will be the Pied Piper to the aliens? None other than the man, the myth– George Clooney. The actor is said to be in talks with the studio to take the lead.
I’m all over this. While we don’t know when it will be released, I can tell you that it’s already landed on my must-see list for whenever it does come out.
