When I caught THE DARK KNIGHT RISES yesterday, I was watching for the MAN OF STEEL teaser that we all knew would be there. I was waiting with bated breath to see if I’d dislike it as much as I was sure I would.  Then it arrived, and what unfolded before me was… well, it was unlike anything I expected.  In fact, I loved it.  Everything about it looked as beautiful as could be hoped for, the music and colors and camera work complementing each other perfectly.

It still looks more like SUPERMAN BEGINS than anything else, but I’m sure there’s much more to the movie than that.  I hope so.  Will my hope be rewarded with as much awesomeness (to borrow an adjective probably trademarked by Zack Snyder) as my doubt was? That remains to be seen.  Plenty of time until the first full trailer and the movie’s release on June 14th, 2013.

As narrated by Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent):

The same trailer, as narrated by Russell Crowe (Jor-El):

Well Schmoes? After waiting all this time, and now that a look at it is finally here, what’s your opinion on this super-child of David S. Goyer, Zack Snyder, and Christopher Nolan?
