Hugh Laurie is in negotiations to play the villain in Robocop

I guess ROBOCOP aims to please.

Hugh Laurie is in negotiations to play the villain of the remake. This is great news! Let House have all the roles!

Laurie will join Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman and Samuel L. Jackson in the story centered on, “a cop named Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) who is brought back from the brink of death and turned into a cyborg police officer.” Oldman plays Robocop’s creator, while Jackson takes on the role of a media mogul.

Who does that leave Laurie as? The actor will move into the role of “the evil and ultra-rich CEO of Omnicorp, the company that makes Robocop.” Does this mean he has the Dick Jones role? No other details here.

Seems that Jose Padilha really wants you to see his remake.
