Even with THE AVENGERS already in theaters and cleaning out our wallets like Star Wars in 1999, the fervor over the superhero opus has hardly died down.  With that said, we have a new featurette from Soundworks for you that is actually one of the best of the bunch.

Highlighting the sound design of the film, the featurette goes into the working process behind the sound team with sound designer Christopher Boyes and director Joss Whedon, including how The Hulk’s voice was created, which may surprise you.

Sound design can make or break a movie, especially one of THE AVENGERS magnitude and thankfully these guys killed it.  Blending the familiar sound effects from previous Marvel films (Cap’s shield, Thor’s hammer, Iron Man’s boosters, etc) and inventing some new ones really helped tie everything togther in a great way.

Have a listen:

THE AVENGERS is currently in theaters.
