Some of you will love this and some of you may hate it. Either way, it intrigued the shit out of me, so I had to get it out to you. As part of their viral campaign, the folks at PROMETHEUS released an “audio puzzle,” which was simply audio in reverse. Once looped back, the audio plays normally and reveals a series of audio snippets that could possibly upset your appetite, depending on how sensitive you are to screaming, alien screeching, gurgling, flesh tearing, etc.
Yes, I said alien screeching, which is exactly what it sounds like. Specifically, like those little alien sons-of-bitches screeching when they come puncturing through your belly, as if to say, in their own words, “Hey, I literally just popped out of your belly. It’s now time for me to get huge and f*ck shit up. Does anyone have a towel? Maybe some Chips Ahoy?”
Okay, enough tomfoolery. Put down your chow and have a listen:
The anticipation for this film is astounding and I think a large part of it is because everything they’ve shown thus far has been the equivalent of a really good strip tease. I’ve seen enough to get me excited, but have no idea what’s going on underneath. Also, if a baby alien popped out of a stripper I would leave a big tip, because that would be insane.
PROMETHEUS could stop all marketing at this point if they wanted to. I’m going. It’s as simple as that. And, so are you. June 8, 2012. See you there.
