Along with Disney’s recent announcement regarding DIA DE LOS MUERTOS as a Pixar project, they also confirmed that the sequel to THE MUPPETS will be moving forward.

We know for a fact that Walter will be returning as a main character, even if Jason Segel will not reprise his role as Gary. President of production Sean Bailey unfortunately gave no hint as to when we can expect THE MUPPETS 2 to hit theaters.

Along with THE MUPPETS and DIA DE LOS MUERTOS news, we also were given confirmation that the May 30, 2014 Pixar film, which was previously untitled, is now called THE GOOD DINOSAUR. The 2015 film that takes place “inside the mind” remains untitled.

I thought THE MUPPETS was one of the better movies released in 2011 and made my own personal top ten.  It definitely re-invigorated the Muppet brand into the mainstream.  Here is hoping they can maintain that for many sequels to come.
