It’s no secret that Old Spice spokesperson Isaiah Mustafa is hot for Luke Cage. Since Marvel let it be known that there could be the possibility of a Luke Cage film or television series, Mustafa has publicly made it known that he’s actively pursuing the role of Marvel’s wrongfully accused prisoner-turned-hero for hire. Here’s what he had to say last year:
“I’ve already had a meeting with Marvel. I talked to them and I told them that I was a gracious reader of their comics and that I wanted to be Luke Cage. So we’ll see where they take it.”
Since there’s no indication as to what this video is officially for, it’s tempting to assume that it’s part of personal campaign by Mustafa to continue vying for the role. But is he making a strong case for himself? See for yourself below and let us know what you think!
