Gwyneth Paltrow has been offered another role where she gets to sing again.

Paltrow has been offered a role in the Adam Shankman (HAIRSPRAY) directed musical, ROCK OF AGES. The actress said before the premiere of COUNTRY STRONG, “It sounds cool. I just got the script and I will read it on the plane home tomorrow. But it sounds like it could be fun.” AGES is the story of a young couple told through classic songs of the 80’s.
Jenno Topping, who is producing both COUNTRY STRONG and ROCK OF AGES confirmed that Tom Cruise is in talks for a role. “It’s real. Although, it is not cemented,” the producer said.
Apparently someone else may want to use her talents as well. Paltrow said this about another “offer”, “[Country Strong co-star Tim McGraw] keeps joking that I should go on the road as his opening act. And I keep saying, ‘Let’s do it. Let’s make it happen.’ I don’t know about a whole tour but maybe a string of nights could be fun. I will probably do some more Glee episodes and maybe some more films that involve singing, but I’m not sure I would ever quit my current job and become a full-time singer. I love my day job and we already have a musician in the family.”
Okay GLEE fans, I lied. She will be doing another episode. Sigh.
