I’m going to argue that it doesn’t get more random than Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman in a PG-13 medieval epic about witchcraft, yet somehow SEASON OF THE WITCH exists. It’s a tale about a pair of crusaders who must capture and transport a witch across the country, and spooky stuff happens along the way.
Clearly this is a part we’d rather see someone like Viggo Mortensen or Hugh Jackman playing, but Nic Cage clearly leapt at the chance to add a new haircut to his collection. And don’t get me wrong, I love Ron Perlman, but seeing him with the same demeanor and hairstyle as his Clay Morrow character from Sons of Anarchy is a little jarring.
