Assassination of Jesse James writer/director Andrew Dominik penning remake of Tell No One

JoBloJoBlo

Andrew Dominik, the man behind the excellent films CHOPPER and THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD, has written a draft for the remake of the 2006 French film TELL NO ONE, itself an adaptation of Harlan Coben’s international bestselling book.

LA Times’ 24 Frames reports that Dominik has reworked “the story of a doctor who, after believing his wife has been murdered years before (and in fact after being named as a suspect in the case), begins getting mysterious messages suggesting she may still be alive.”

Dominik, however, is not attached to direct. He is currently in pre-production on BLONDE – the Marilyn Monroe biopic starring Naomi Watts as the iconic female – which the filmmaker wrote and will direct as his next film.

The 2006 TELL NO ONE, from filmmaker Guillaume Canet, was a big European hit upon its release and made $6 million here in the States on a very minimal number of screens, even making many critics’ end-of-the-year lists. It’s definitely worth a look.
