I don’t know if Bollywood movies will ever hold much appeal for mainstream American audiences… but adding lots of fight scenes and gorgeous babes probably can’t hurt.
CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA seems to be taking a page from the Jackie Chan/Stephen Chow playbook, stirring in plenty of slapstick (and random musical numbers) with the chopsocky. Of particular interest (besides the stunning Deepika Padukone) is the presence of legendary kung fu master Gordon Liu, a Hong Kong veteran (36th CHAMBER OF SHAOLIN, EIGHT DIAGRAM POLE FIGHTER), also recently seen in KILL BILL vol. 1 and 2.
