I feel kinda bad for THE LOSERS — so far the project has lived up to its name, having been kicked around for years by several directors but never actually getting made.
The latest to take a shot at adapting the recent DC/Vertigo comic title is Sylvain White (STOMP THE YARD), who himself has been bouncing around big projects that have yet to materialize (CASTLEVANIA, Frank Miller’s RONIN). The twisting, violent tale of betrayal and conspiracies revolves around a diverse team of former CIA operatives hunting a shadowy double agent known only as Max — the man who left them for dead.
Joel Silver’s Dark Castle will produce this time. Peter Berg (THE RUNDOWN), Tim Story (FANTASTIC FOUR) and McG have all previously been attached or rumored for the director’s chair. Maybe it’ll get further along now. Even THE LOSERS get lucky some time.
