Jack Brooks sequel?

JoBloJoBlo

I got a huge kick out of JACK BROOKS: MONSTER SLAYER, a rubber-suited cheapie that elicited memories of early Raimi and fun junk like the GUYVER movies.

It sounds like there will be more plumber-versus-beastie mayhem — director Jon Knautz talked to Bloody Good Horror and says that a sequel script is in the works. “We didn’t have the money to do a full blown action/horror movie with part 1“, he says, so the follow-up will have many more (and better funded) monsters.

The plan is to get the production rolling some time next year, money permitting. The sequel will find our reluctant hero forced to work with a partner to stomp the aforementioned higher-finance fiends. Knautz plans to stick with the old-school 80s flavor but says “This time around it’s funnier, scarier… as of now it’s definitely creepier, more action. All around better.
