Depp and Gore again!

JoBloJoBlo

When your last collaborative effort resulted in a billion-dollar franchise, your next project might draw attention.

Alas, Johnny Depp isn’t getting back together with his PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN shot-caller Gore Verbinski for that director’s planned BIOSHOCK adaptation. Or even anything involving humans (spliced or otherwise).

The Depp/Gore ticket will be running on a platform of animation, with a new Paramount computer-toon called RANGO. Depp will lend his dulcet tones to the lead character, a “household pet that goes on an adventure to discover its true self”.

The script comes from John Logan, who’s already working with Verbinski on bringing BIOSHOCK to life. Maybe while you’re all together you can talk Depp into playing Jack for a visit to Rapture, would you kindly?
