No, the metal bastards haven’t experienced power failure — Things are still slowly progressing on McG’s man versus machine opus TERMINATOR SALVATION, and while solid information and photographic evidence have been scarce, that doesn’t mean we can’t scrutinize what’s been presented!
Over at io9.com, they’ve taken a hard look at the teaser trailer and offered their impressions and hypotheses as to just who/what those human-hunting and (occasionally) flesh-wearing metal monsters might be. According to them, the all-too-brief teaser features glimpses of Skynet’s “Harvester”, “Hydrobot”, and the chunkier precursor to Arnie’s model of cyborg.
