I tried watching the trailer for the Uma Thurman-starring THE LIFE BEFORE HER EYES without reading a synopsis beforehand, and when it was done I still had absolutely no idea what it was about. It comes from director Vadim Perleman (THE HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG), and through the magic of reading, I discovered this is a film about a girl who survives a school shooting and whose life comes apart 15 years later. Take my word for it, you will NOT be able to discern this from the trailer alone. Marilyn Manson’s love child Evan Rachel Wood plays Thurman as a young woman, and Thurman plays Thurman when she’s older. Does this mean that Wood will look like Thurman when she grows up? Whether she does or she doesn’t, it’s a can’t-lose situation. Head over to Cinematical to check out the trailer and the official poster.
