Pulp author and CONAN creator Robert E. Howard has another adventurer coming to life in SOLOMON KANE. The classic leather-bound evil-fighter, whose style was liberally swiped by Stephen Sommers for his wretched VAN HELSING, will be played by James Purefoy (the pre-Weaving V from V FOR VENDETTA).
And now he has some other familiar faces joining his exploits. Villain extraordinaire Max Von Sydow (FLASH GORDON), Pete Postlethwaite (THE USUAL SUSPECTS), Borg Queen Alice Krige, MacKenzie Crook (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, and more importantly the UK’s THE OFFICE) and youngster Rachel Hurd-Wood (PETER PAN’s Wendy) have all signed up for the rousing tale from director Michael J. Bassett (DEATHWATCH).
In addition, Dread Central got a first look at some mocked-up promo art, which you can dig by clicking somber Solomon’s squash.
