“New” face of Myers

JoBloJoBlo

Despite the controversy surrounding rocker-filmmaker Rob Zombie’s risky remake/reboot/re-imagining of John Carpenter’s horror classic HALLOWEEN, so far the only noticeable differences are the actors themselves. Our dear old friend and favorite unstoppable homicidal maniac Michael Myers looks virtually identical to his original visage.

Zombie recently added this new snap of the latest Shape over at his MySpace blog, which has eschewed all things Official Tradelike to keep fans apprised of the goings-on with his apocryphal franchise entry. The diehard HALLOWEEN zealots can complain about the wisdom and very notion of this remake, but at least when it comes to the appearance of Myers, Zombie is sticking with what works. (The Shape from the original movie is below for those who want to compare the intricacies of Shatner mask variations.)

The new flick will likely arrive this October, and features a mix of fresh faces and exhumed genre actors that Zombie obviously found while visiting autograph areas at fan conventions.
