Remy Auberjonois, son of popular character actor René Auberjonois (he has over 200 credits to his name, but he may be best known as Odo from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) has made his feature directorial debut with the psychological thriller BLOOD STRIPE, which he co-wrote with star Kate Nowlin.

Nowlin's character in the film is

a Sergeant who has just returned from her third tour in Afghanistan and is struggling to readjust to life in her small Minnesota town. Wracked with PTSD and attendant anxiety, sleeplessness and paranoia, she flees to a nearby forest after having an explosive outburst during her homecoming party. There, she discovers a picturesque summer camp on a lakeshore, where she finds some solace until her own struggles and a new danger catch up with her.

BLOOD STRIPE made its world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 2nd and went over so well that a second screening has been scheduled to take place tomorrow, June 7th.

Those of us who couldn't make it out to L.A. for the film festival will have to keep an eye on the progress of BLOOD STRIPE to find out when we might be able to see the film, but in the meantime a short, tense clip has arrived online to give us a tease of what the movie has in store for its viewers. Check it out below.

Nowlin's BLOOD STRIPE co-stars include Tom Lipinski, Chris Sullivan, Rusty Schwimmer, Ashlie Atkinson, Ken Marks, Louis Jenkins, and René Auberjonois.
