Cool Horror Videos: Aliens Minimates stop-motion shorts

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Today is Alien Day, a day put together not just to celebrate the fact that 2016 marks the thirtieth anniversay of James Cameron's ALIENS but also to pay tribute to the ALIEN franchise as a whole. Why April 26th? Because of the moon where the characters of ALIEN and ALIENS encounter the title creatures: LV 426.

Animator Alex Kropinak may have found the coolest way to celebrate the films, recreating the final moments of ALIENS in stop-motion using Diamond Select Toys' ALIENS Minimates figures and sets.

This is Kropinak's second animated ALIENS short; his previous one was an "Aliens vs. Marines" clip that hit the internet back in November of 2014. To celebrate Alien Day properly, I have included that short below as well.

The shorts are quick but awesome, so check them out!
