Obviously, Urban has a horse in this race. He is Dredd, after all. But if a star pours his heart into a project, sometimes it just might have a chance. And with the rise of Netflix and Amazon, long-dead projects with weaker box offices are being brought back more and more to capture the nostalgia/cult audience and sell subscriptions.
Who would have ever thought there would be a fourth season of Arrested Development? Or Fuller House? More X-Files? This keeps happening, so who's to say DREDD 2 is off the table in this mutant miasma that is modern pop culture? Obviously, if this ever happens it will probably take years to put it together properly, but there is always hope.
