Mimi Rogers

The latest victim to go up against a plague of deadites in Ash vs. Evil Dead is Mimi Rogers, reports THR. Rogers will play Suzy Maxwell, a woman who is reunited with her family and several uninvited guests after a freak accident. Suzy is the mother of Kelly (series regular Dana DeLorenzo), a moody wild child trying to outrun her past. This one is really shaping up quite nicely, wouldn't you say?

The cast also includes Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, and Jill Marie Jones. Ash vs. Evil Dead is currently shooting in New Zealand, and the 10-episode first season is slated to debut in fall 2015.

Bruce Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal.  Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.

Raimi will direct the first episode of Ash vs Evil Dead that he wrote with Ivan Raimi, Craig DiGregorio and Tom Spezialy. Raimi will also serve as executive producer, along with Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell along with Craig DiGregorio who will serve as executive producer/showrunner. Ivan Raimi will co-executive produce and Aaron Lam will serve as producer.
