Image Entertainment announced today that they have acquired all US rights to ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE, the high school-set comedy horror- thriller written and directed by Lucky McKee (“May,” “The Woman”) and Chris Sivertson (“The Lost,” “I Know Who Killed Me”) that premiered this year as the opening night film in the Midnight Madness section at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Caitlin Stasey, Sianoa Smit-McPhee, Brooke Butler, Tom Williamson, Reanin Johannink, Amanda Grace Cooper, Leigh Parker, Jordan Wilson, Nicholas S. Morrison, and Chris Petrovski star in ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE, which has a spring 2014 release in the works.

Here’s the plot:

When tragedy rocks Blackfoot High, rebellious outsider Mäddy Killian shocks the student body by joining the cheerleading squad. This decision drives a rift between Mäddy and her ex-girlfriend Leena Miller – a loner who claims to practice the dark arts. After a confrontation with the football team, Mäddy and her new cheerleader friends are sent on a supernatural roller coaster ride which leaves a path of destruction none of them may be able to escape.
