Rinko Kikuchi is utterly charming. She is beautiful, talented and she makes me smile! The actress has given memorable performances in such films as BABEL, THE BROTHER’S BLOOM and many more. And now, she stars in Guillermo del Toro’s latest PACIFIC RIM, alongside such talented actors as Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Day and Clifton Collins Jr., a great cast indeed.
When I sat down with the very lovely Rinko, she made me feel instantly comfortable. The actress talked about working with her co-star Hunnam and the connection the two actors shared – this was especially important since the two characters must ‘sync up’ to kick monster tail. She also discussed working with del Toro and how he helped her find her character ‘Mako Mori.’ You can see her in action this Friday when PACIFIC RIM arrives in theatres this Friday, July 12th.
