Most of you probably don’t remember, but back in 2005 we reported that an indie serial killer thriller called POKER NIGHT was in development. Now, a good seven years later, the film is finally moving forward with AWKWARD star Beau Mirchoff leading the cast.

In the film, Mirchoff plays a newly-promoted detective who learns from a Greek chorus of wiser, older detectives gathered for their ritual night of poker when a killer pulls the young cop and his mentors into a web of mutual deceit. The actors filling the shoes of said cops? Ron Perlman, Delroy Lindo, and Ron Eldard, respectively.

POKER NIGHT is currently shooting in Victoria, B.C. under the direction of Greg Francis, who also wrote the screenplay. Check out his Twitter for a steady stream of production updates, such as the behind-the-scenes photos featured below.
