Jim Mickle’s remake of Jorge Grau’s cannibal drama WE ARE WHAT WE ARE is shaping up; Deadline.com reports that Ambyr Childers (pictured) has signed on for the thriller, which gets underway later this month.

Ms. Childers was a regular on the daytime soap “All My Children” for a while in 2008, but this year is easily one of the biggest ones ever for the actress: She’ll soon be seen in Paul Thomas Anderson’s THE MASTER, Ruben Fleischer’s GANGSTER SQUAD and Allan Hughes’ BROKEN CITY. Girl is obviously choosing her directors wisely…

Childers joins Riley Keough, Julia Garner, Bill Sage and Wyatt Russell will star in the film, which is set in the Catskills section of New York. Shooting will commence on May 29th and last until July; Memento Films International is producing.

In WE ARE WHAT WE ARE, Keough and Garner play a pair of sisters who are secluded from mainstream society. Following the untimely death of their mother, their father, played by Sage, forces them to perform a depraved ritual, carried out by their ancestors for generations.
