Looks like Rosario Dawson is bringing her fine ass to the tube…

THR has it that A&E has recently acquired rights to “O.C.T., a graphic novel Dawson co-created with David Atchison. The cable channel wants to adapt the supernatural source material into a series for Dawson to star in. And to bolster the cred, “The Walking Dead” producer Gale Anne Hurd is teaming with Dawson and A&E to get the show on the air. Jorge Zamacona (“The Unusuals”) will write the script for O.C.T, which stands for Occult Crimes Taskforce.

The series will explore the inner workings of the task force, which was established after the Civil War to make the New York City streets safe from practitioners of black magic, demons from another dimension and all manner of supernatural malcontents.

O.C.T. will center on the character of Sophia Ortiz, a new member of the bureau who uses magic, spells, ghosts, the undead and the unnatural. At the heart of the story is an ongoing struggle between the O.C.T. detectives and an organized demon-force attempting to take over Manhattan.

Sounds pretty sweet, right? We have every possible CSI type show imaginable, but what about a task force explicitly dedicated to the supernatural…with Dawson at the helm? Could be worthy, for sure.

What do you think?
