It sounds as if the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY franchise is about to get its first repeat director(s).

Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, who helmed the successful third PA installment, are in line to return for part 4, which just yesterday was given an OCTOBER 19, 2012 release date. The duo, who broke onto the scene in 2010 with their gripping is-it-real-or-not? documentary CATFISH, were surprise choices for PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 back in May of last year (hard to believe that their participation was announced only five months before the film hit theaters), but now seem like a natural fit for the fourth movie in the hit series.

Nothing has been positively confirmed, so let’s not pop open the champagne for Joost and Schulman just yet. We’ll update this spot as word comes in…
