Take the following news with a grain or two of salt, because it strictly stands as rumor right now. However, if it turns out to be true, it should provide plenty of holiday good cheer for us friends of The Terminator.
Fansite of all things Ahnold, TheArnoldFans.com, is reporting that the former Governator is looking to do BLACK SUNDAY, a supernatural action flick which would see Arnie playing an angel. Naturally, as it’s Schwarzenegger we’re talking about, he’s not the type of angel who sports wings and a halo. The site claims he’ll be waging war against weapons dealers as an immortal instrument of death.
Described as COMMANDO meets CONSTANTINE, BLACK SUNDAY is evidently being directed by Scott Waugh and Mike McCoy, who recently completed Relativity Media’s action thriller ACT OF VALOR (peep the trailer for that one right HERE). THeArnoldFans claims production will begin in New Mexico on April 1, 2012. Hopefully that date doesn’t signify this being an early April Fool’s Day joke.
In the meantime, Arnold is in New Mexico wrapping up THE LAST STAND, which comes out on JANUARY 17, 2013.
