All it took for me to be sold on Michael Gallagher’s new indie slasher SMILEY was a look at the film’s villain – ‘Smiley.’ I’m pretty confident you’ll be sold as well.

But before we get to that let me hit you all with some more details on SMILEY. Like the synopsis perhaps? Check it:

After learning of an urban legend in which a demented serial killer named Smiley can be summoned through the Internet, mentally fragile Ashley must decide whether she is losing her mind or becoming Smiley’s next victim.

Pretty basic, run-of-the-mill slasher, right? Right. Now all we need is a look at the antagonist. And luckily for us we’ve got a batch of stills from the flick today and one of them does indeed introduce us to our psycho! Just scroll away above and below for the goods and try to guess which one is the baddie. The smiley-face-carved madman with the bloody knife perhaps? Bingo!

We’ve also got a batch of ‘Making Of’ videos from the flick you might want to check out. Much like the stills these ‘Making Of’ videos can also be found below or by jumping on over to our videos section just in case you’re feeling froggy.

SMILEY comes from a script by director Gallagher and Glasgow Phillips and stars Caitlin Gerard (below), Melanie Papalia, Shane Dawson, Andrew James Allen, Roger Bart, Liza Weil, Michael Traynor and Keith David, yes Keith f*cking David! Apparently the film will be made available as premium content to the film’s online community as well as the general public through traditional distribution channels.

For more info on this intriguing little slasher romp you can check out SMILEY’s official Facebook or just keep it here for any other updates as we hear them.
