UPDATE: It seems that comment made on PIRANHA 3DD’s Facebook page was taken a bit out of context because the site posted the following today: “We apologize for not clarifying on the previous post! The PIRANHA 3DD trailer will NOT be before APOLLO 18 in theaters! We just wanted all you PIRANHA fans to get excited about one of our other movies! Sorry for the confusion!” Bummer.

I don’t know about the rest of you guys but one flick I’m really looking forward to is John Gulager’s PIRANHA 3DD. One of the things I really loved about the first film was that it didn’t take itself too seriously, and because of that I was able to have a great time with it. My gut is telling me PIRANHA 3DD will be following in exactly the same footsteps.

So when the news dropped today over at the flick’s official Facebook page that a trailer for PIRANHA 3DD will be popping into theaters this weekend on prints of APOLLO 18… well needless to say it got this schmuck very excited! Don’t take my word for it though, check out the Facebook post for yourself:

“Dying to see PIRANHA 3DD in all its horror glory? Check out he horrifically epic Apollo 18 this weekend!”

Now before you guys get into a frenzy that poster above isn’t the actual PIRANHA 3DD poster. The Facebook page has been holding a Fan Art Contest and that’s just one of the entires. Pop on over to PIRANHA 3DD’s official Facebook to get a look at the rest.

PIRANHA 3DD sports a cast for the ages with Paul Scheer, Ving Rhames, Danielle Panabaker, Christopher Lloyd, Katrina Bowden (below), Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Gary Busey and David Hasselhoff all set to star. It’ll chomp it’s way into theaters on November 23rd.
